Now I am somehow proud founder of FOSS project with stupid name: “struct_validator”.
This is a python library, licensed under WTFPL license, which allows you to validate your python structures.
I written it to validate json structures we use in our RPC at work.
More on how it works is in tutorial: usage examples@github.
I will be very glad if it will find uses outside our office.

I lusted for good ø50mm lens for my rangefinder body, I ordered one and I got one. I had one before – Jupiter-8 – FSU ø50mm lens and didn’t like results due to low contrast.
Now since I got the real quality 50mm I don’t use it… why? Because it isn’t that pleasant to touch or walk with – way too big and intrusive. And yet I don’t want to use J8 now because it isn’t that “cool”… now while I am saving for zeiss c sonnar 1.5/50 (oh boy) I am using my the only “wide” – Nokton Classic 40/1.4 and I think that I like it now… I didn’t like it before because I am worse with wides than with 50s.
P.S. I didn’t proof-read this post.
UPD:

Two weeks ago I ordered nokton 50/1.5 lens from cameraquest shot and just received it.
First of all, it is bigger than I expected (as big as nikkor 50/1.8 I think) and… there is a colour issue.
I ordered silver lens and I thought it will look at least somehow like my jupiter-8 (i.e. metallic look, reflecting surface, etc) but instead it looks very matte, i.e. not serious at all ;(
anyway, yay I just got an awesome, sharp, contrast 5cm lens \o/
w00t, let’s make some photos in next few days.
UPDATE:
Aperture is very smooth and easy-going, awesome.
Focusing ring is stiff, but that is fine (before I thought that my 40/1.4 focusing is very stiff too, but now it is fine. Either I am used to it or it just needed some “wearing” from usage).

I bought a big pack of Agfa APX films, ten 400s and ten 100s and just developed my first 100 roll.
I’ve ruined it, I underdeveloped it a lot, though it shows some great contrast (i.e. whites are washed out often even though everything else is black).

(best viewed large) text says “peek into the future”. I find it both amusing and scary.
